If anyone is interested in any tactical small unit training in the Virginia area, then I am happy to contribute. I really enjoy instructing on small team tactics. If you want to learn some high speed stuff, such as dismounted and vehicle mounted break contact drills, convoy operations or patrolling, then I am happy to help.

I am to drawing attention to the HEAT shootout scene because it is excellent. It is simply anawesome scene, there is somuch to it. It was choreographed by "Andy MacNab" of Bravo Two Zero fame, first Gulf War, retired from the British SAS.

It incorporates vehicle and dismounted break contact drills. Initially they try and get away in the vehicle, firing from inside it, which you do from a soft skinned vehicle. Then the vehicle is immobilized (driver shot) and they dismount and try to fight off the "X" utilizing fire and movement. The drills are great, changing mags, shouting "MOVE", fire and movement until they split up, but then Kilmer and De Niro still buddy pair together, then Kilmer becomes 'man down".

They have to initally fire in both directions once they get out of the vehicle, showing the 360 degree nature of the threat. There is actually a lot in this clip and although it is scripted for a movie the tactics behind it are genuine SAS break contact drills. I can teach these drills, preferably to decent family folk who want to be prepared.

It was alot of fun we were going off and on between 50% to full speed. And for those who are scared to train at all cause they want to be hundred percent for when it happens. Well good luck with that. I suffered swollen knee from training with matt and cimarron. Yes i got put on my back with 2 full grown men on top but guess what thats part of training. Lesson learned dont let it go to ground and dont stop fighting. For those computer commandos i lived from the training and still worked 10 hr days but anyways. I can't even tell you all how much fun it is to meet with everyone to learn and practice skills. It was great to meet Cimarron this month :-) Our group is growing stronger every time we meet. If you all aren't meeting up with other folks for training/skill building, you are seriously missing out. We learn valuable skills every time we meet! We are also growing together as a group and building trust. We don't just sit around talking about what we want to do, We get off our butts and practice doing it.
I got a reminder about something when we were training. Matt was playing the bad guy and when he grabbed my husband I pulled the gun out and took aim at Matt's head. I knew I couldn't shoot him tho because he was standing behind my husband and I didin't have a good clear shot. I completely forgot that I DID have a good shot at his legs and could have easily shot his knee out. I need to work on shooting whatever body part I can instead of automatically looking for the head or chest shot. I think I need to find some targets with a full body outline so I can practice shooting legs.
Everyone need to challenge themselves to meet up with a few other people once each month for training/skill building. Find someone in your state and contact them. Make arrangements to meet them at a gym or gun range and get to know each other. Then you can start meeting and training together on a regular basis. Is one day each month too much for you to give up? Is your life and the lives of your family members worth it?
If you think you aren't up to it, you're wrong. I'm an overweight, out of shape woman and I just had foot surgery last month. If I can participate in these meetings, anyone can. Just do as much as your body will reasonably allow. You will get stronger over time. If you can't do anything physical, you can still learn other skills. Build a water filter, make dessicant bags, learn how to choose a knife, work on food storage, learn and practice first aid, etc. The list of skills you need to practice is endless.

Sharpshooter and my self was the only single guys until Grand showed up. So he paired us up. When we were the shoppers and he was the assailant, it went ..ok.

I had the great idea and suggested Matt be Mr. Shopper coming outa Walmart and the two of us would be the thugs...stupid idea..

We attacked at the same time. After he appled his "chop-suey" and spun me around making me stumble, by the time I turned back around and on both feet Sharpshooter was on his back trying not to get into a submission hold.

Yes, it was fast..

Several things were covered and a real good meal was had too. Had some rotel, some of that nasty ole field to table deer stew, scalloped taters, some hand picked blackberry cobbler and some dreamy pie, mmm mmm :p

We learned how to make home made decadent bags for gear and ammo from Grand who might post some stuff on that
