Wow! Go buy this DVD now!!!
Sonny has done an awesome job with this DVD. Just picked up a couple this weekend and I'm only about 75% of the way through it and have already gotten my money's worth six times over!!!
I've been picking up some of these exercises here and there from seminars with him over the last couple years. I've seen a big difference in core strength in my stand up and ground game.
Serious conditioning for the serious survivor.
I would recommend if you have not done some of these before that you first start with the exercises that do not require any kettlebells. Listen to and watch every demonstration and focus more on correct form, good breathing and doing the exercise slowly. This is NOT "grunt grunt PUSH IT! PUSH IT!" typical American gym see how much you can bench press gym type non sense.
I've fought those types of guys (beach body muscle gym types). They LOOK strong as Hades. They usually have NO range of motion in their arms and legs. It's easy to break their arms when they get frustrated and resort to trying to bench press you off of them. They are lifting weights to try to look good, NOT to prepare themselves for a fight. Grapple or stand up with some of them for a while and you'll understand what I mean.
Sonny's DVD will help you prepare your body for a FIGHT, not necessarily to "look good at the beach." Although realistically a better looking body is a side effect of this type of work.
Buy the DVD, work on doing ONE single exercise shown correctly. Realistically their is a LOT more to a plank pushup than you'll catch at first glance or probably doing it the first couple dozen times.
All of life's questions can be answered in that plank hold position- or so I'm told. ;)
