I do it about once a week, but hell I love burning stuff.

I agree, building a fire, a good fire, even without a lighter is tough. If you dont feed it what it wants, it will die out fast.

I think a lot of people miss the importance of being able to make fire in all types of weather. I have seen people with bic lighters fail to make fire because they had no paper. I know that's extreme but I have seen it. My leatherman wave is always on my side it's my edc. The sheath also carry's a firesteel and some jute twine. The importance of fire is right up there with water and shelter so i practice it weekly....OT

Yep practice that fire builing. Preperation is the key to good fire building. If you think back to the times you were unseccessful or had a hard time getting one going it was probably poor preperation.

I sure agree with that. A person with little experience spends less time on prep, and a lot of time and effort trying to light it. Not saying i'm an expert because your only as good as your last fire:rolleyes:
