just thought something you guys might be interested in its a work out called cross fit. Got sent to a five day class on it before i deployed and its probably the most smoked i've been in a ten minute work out. These guys who run it are pt gods. They actually came up to schofield and did a competition against some of the brigades pt studs and smoked them.
the principle of the work out is to do multiple work outs with very little or no rest in between an example is 60 seconds of pull ups with a 30 second rest for 1 set, there are usually 4 to 6 sets depending on your fitness level. the resting period isn't really rest your just hanging off the bar and not touching the ground. once that is done you'd probably go into squats with low weight again 60 seconds of squats followed by 30 seconds of rest in the squat postion. and the final work out would be either on the prone row or push ups. the good thing about this work out is you can taylor it to do it in your back yard with very little or no equipment. for the running portions it involves sprints over realitively short distances with a medicine ball or without one. anyway just thought it is something that you guys might find interesting.
heres the link. not sure if you have to pay to get more of the work outs or not but im sure there are forums you can get good work outs for free. if you have a cross fit gym in your area and are interested in expanding your physical fitness routine i'd highly suggest going for a few weeks.
