I'm planning on attending. I won't be there all day for all the different seminars but hopefully I can get a feel for how those things go down.

Probably going to be there in the afternoon. I'm helping someone move that morning, but should be able to break away after 12 or so

I just remembered Ron White on deer hunting...

Woo, that's an elusive little creature! If you ever miss one, it's because the bullet's moving too fast. Slow the bullet down to 55 miles an hour, put some headlights and a little horn on it -- the deer will actually jump in front of the bullet.

                lol

We made it a family trip to attend the "prepper expo" but were only able to stay for an hour or two. Really, that's all that was needed because it was pretty small.

They had a dozen or so booths:
Bee keeping, with a meduim sized stand containing bees ( the kids liked this one the most)

                  Red Cross -emergency planning-

Young living essential oils- You had to become a member to buy their product...

Southern plains consulting- which is a guy that is ex-military, ex-leo, ex-paramedic that will come to your house and for a 'fee' give you a run down on your suroundings and give you tips on situational-awareness.

                  Water filtration.

Non-gmo seed vault- the guy had made seeled pvc canisters that you can bury and dig up later to use the seeds

Oklahoma Dept. of Health- the table had many hand outs, activity sheets, including a coloring book for lil-ones. Mostly centered around emergency planning like: tornado, loss of power, fire, etc.

LTS- freeze dried #10 cans of assorted varrieties. they had a good sampeling of food stuff that you could try ( I liked this one the best :) )

Raising Chickens- they had a small chicken cuop out side the door but we missed the 'workshop'

Truth is treason- the table was covered in Ron Paul signs and I didn't see any thing toward prepping so I didn't stop.

                  Septic tank/storm shelter Co.

American Preppers Network- an online preparedness forum..yeah right, who would want to go on line and talk about prepping..:p

During the course of the day someone from each booth would get up on stage and speak about their product. The crowd was small. If I had to guess there might have been 25-30 visitors.
I visited with the APN guys and what/why they were there. Which they said was just to get other like-minded folks together and share ideas and meet up with people with the same intention.

                  We purchased:
A small 'jar' of honey. You know the little bear shaped one? It was 5 bucks which my wife thought was expensive.

A first aid kit for $70.Click image for larger version

It was small and the organization was ...casual.. but all in all I'm glad I went.

I would really like to go to one of the big ones some time ...

I forgot to mention. The guy that does the consultation, by coming out to your place, and reviewing your preps and set up, charges $350.00 dollars.
I don't know about this because your paying someone to walk through your land and go through your gear all the while telling someone everything you have...

Thanks for the review. I'm in for a minute, boy got a spike.
That guy doing the reviews, yea, I understand what you are sayin but there are lots out there that do it right on up to the SB Guru. I believe that he is solid.
