    Trapping Gophers
Trapping gophers or any animal is foreign to some and second nature to others. Once we hit the point of no return AKA SHTF trapping animals will become necessary. Undesirable animals such as the lowly flower bed destroying gopher could very well become the next addition to your bowl of rice. Protein is protein and our thinking may need change. What I have attempted to do is show the trail and proper placement of the trap for the best results. It

Great videos Matt! Do you know the brand name of your traps? I have a couple of different type of gopher/mole traps but none of mine look like yours and what you have looks a little better. As for gophers, I actually think that what we have are moles, but we have enough of them to be able to eat for a very long time as we are on the edge of some woods and they like to come into our yard.

I will say this, I don't have a problem setting the traps, but there is no way I am going to clean those nasty little things. That will have to be Mr. SC's job! Because if I have to clean them and then cook them I can assure you will not be eating them. Eeeewwwwww! Unfortunately, there are some things that do make me squeamish. ;-)

Thanks for the link, I will definitely look into picking up some traps.

Yeah, I will remind myself that it is "the other white meat", that should help it go down easier. ;-)

Any advice on getting rid of armadillos. I HATE ARMADILLOS! They are making my yard and garden look like a mine field. I have tried to get rid of the grubs that they like to eat and traps. I have shot 3 and ran over another but they breed like rabbits!

My wife's favorite story to share is about waking me out of a sound sleep because she saw an armadillo in the backyard and me running around in the backyard at midnight in nothing but my boxers with a light and my pistol shooting armadillos.
