I have one that I picked up at Orileys auto parts last Christmas. It looks exactly like a similar v-air model that retails for three times this one. I've taken it to MOAB, colorado, offroad in AZ, used daily to air up and down tires for soft sand driving, and also for everyday airing of tires, basketballs, etc. It has not let me down yet.

      Great post Matt.

I have two plug kits, one in my truck and one in my ATV.

I also have one of the Slime 12 volt compressors that I've used for 5 or 6 years and its still going strong. (knock on wood)

Great reminder/refresser!! I have three vehicles and a small compressor/plug kit in each (along with other tools). In the truck (one-ton dually diesel) camper (38 foot toy hauler with 5500 watt generator) I have a pancake compressor with another couple of flat fix kits in it. Also have full-size spare in each vehicle (as well as the camper). The camper has a propane generator but it takes too much fuel for the tanks it holds. I'm going to pull out the propane one and put a smaller gas generator in (it has a 40-gallon gas pump station built in...would last longer than 2 30lb propane tanks).

I'll second Viair. I have the 450P model. Portable instead of permanently installed. After several Wal-Mart quality compressors I bit the bullet and spent the money. I'm glad I did.
