  • Solar Ignition Test

    Ok I apologize up front for the sound and video quality. The wind is running about 25mph right now and the video was shot with my cell phone by me as I was trying to light the fire at the same time! The goal was to use solar ignition to start a fire in these conditions and see how long it took. I did a review of a solar device that failed (https://www.survivalandpreparednessf...Whistle-Review ) so I wanted to test myself with one I know would work. It

        Wow, 19 minutes is a good amount of time. Seems like I remember as a kid burning twigs, leaves and bugs things burnt pretty easy. Although after I thought about it they just smoldered for a while.

        *Not to mention that grass fire me and my little brother started . hehe

            I bought a pocket magnifier 5X for $1 at the dollar store for my GMHB.
            Preps aint gotta be expensive
