For those of us older who can't put on a 100 lb ruck anymore. IDEA! I use a deer cart to haul around my junk in the woods . It works and it is not to much money.

OLD TIRED V/S Big RUCK bug out

I plan on a deer cart soon, when I find one I like, that is narrow, light, and nimble... Till then, I have a lightweight but tough hand cart with solid tires, so no flats... My bags attach with carabiners. It can also be attached to my bicycle. 3-day pack stays on my back, with chest rig.
Now this is for a true BUG OUT, meaning you will likely NEVER come back home, which means it is loaded and heavy. Also have option for loaded ammo can if needs dictate.
It rolls well on my terrain, is narrow, and can be ditched and hidden quickly.

I am lucky enough to have two site's , one fully stocked one partly if I can get there I'll have to take some stuff with me but not all. I have worked on this since the Mel Tappen days. It is not perfect but I can only do so much. My biggest weak point is all my friends who were in medical have been retiring, SO now I have to try and locate new like minded people who have medical schools. And I still need a bomb shelter!!!

We've got a family cabin up on the Mogollon Rim towards the Eastern side of the state that I have been stocking. It didn't dawn on me until a couple years ago that having 1000's of rounds at home was pretty useless if I needed to bug out. So, I started dividing and caching ammo and supplies at the cabin as well as in between home and the cabin in the event of a bug out. Like cpt_sfc, I have a back up site that is a friend's primary home in the North central part of the state. They are like minded and very active in the prepper community. I've cached supplies on their property. We've built off-grid buildings including multiple greenhouses for year around growing. I still have so many holes in my preps though. Living in a desert water is king, everything else is secondary. Definitely need more storage for water. We're looking to buy a new home after the first of the year here in the valley. I want a 3 car garage so we can used the 3rd spot for storage, including water. My wife and I have been gardening for the last 3 years. We're getting pretty good at growing veggies but we need more backyard space as well. That's also on the shopping list."One cannot but ponder the question: what if the Arabs had been Christians? To me it seems certain that the fatalistic teachings of Mohammed and the utter degradation of women is the outstanding cause for the arrested development of the Arab. He is exactly what he was around the year 700, while we have kept on developing. Here, I think, is a text for some eloquent sermon on the virtues of Christianity." - General George S. Patton, diary, June 9, 1943.
