Failure point! Be sure to have spares!

Recently we were switching over some stuff on Junior's rifle. We zeroed the ACOG and somewhere along the line, the BATTERY CAP for the OTAL-C IR laser was absent later. It came completely out of the keeper and the keeper didn't look broke or wallowed out.

We searched everywhere for it, nada.

Ordered 4 caps to have as spares. I supposed SHTF we could somehow have jury rigged it, but definitely would not be as effective.

I ordered spares for my DBAL also, they haven't come yet.

It's a FAILURE POINT, be aware of it. It gets lost and your SOL at that point.

is there a place you would suggest for the Dbal replacement caps? JRH?

Also, don't forget the battery box for your EOTEC sight. We miss placed one and had to borrow one from a spare rifle on one trip to Max's. I now have a spare.

I have some DBAL caps on order, they have not arrived yet though. The OTAL caps came with this last shipment. Email me in a week or so, hopefully they will be in then.

I'm building an AR right now. A very high end one in 5.56 to complement my other 5.56 and still have to get an entire bolt assembly for it. I will most likely replace my old one too. Works fine and I'll make it my spare for both. Not that I expect to ever have an issue with either bolt.
