I gotta say...I love multicam...but my all time favorite camo is jungle stripes (but it matches nothing in my area)

I thought of that while I tested my new hammock Sunday. Only thing is its big and kinda cocoons you. I may add Velcro to it to make it seal up for buggy days or colder temps. I guess I'm gonna have to look into how to sleep in it now. LOL
wasn't as warm as I thought.
it was about 92+ out with a slight breeze (4-7mph).. I could feel the air on my back and it'd feel cool. Stand up out of hammock and it was hotter almost.I suspect the air closer to ground was cooler..
Oh well fun test times ahead...LOL

The nylon hammocks do act like a moisture wicking garment, cool to the wind. Great feeling in hot weather. My double cocoons me as well if I flap it over. It does help keep the flying bugs out, less mosquitoes that get you through the material.

I find I like my hammock less curved when I am in it, so I connect it fairly straight horizontally so when I add my weight it only butt sags minimally.

In cooler temps, a poncho liner as a temp barrier seems to be popular. Some use a foam sleeping pad.

              I like my Eno hammock...

I got to SHOT early one of the days this year and was sitting drinking "overpriced coffee" in a little shop right near the entrance. As I was ordering I was looking at all the fancy names of the coffees. I thought of Protus and started laughing. Got my coffee and called him to BS. "I'm sitting here drinking Mochafaguccino and fixing to ogle Gucci gear in Multicam and was thinking of you!" LOL

Got my Protus tarp and it's good to go. Great tarp, great sewing and good size. Mine is 5'x8' and will be resting in my GHB. Small, lightweight but can do the job. Thanks P....

                      Protus,
This is a great link to everything hammock. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...archid=3226687
It will teach you about top quilts, bottom quilts, Skeeter nets, snake skins, whoopie slings, tarps, how to set up and lay in. The perfect height for you. the 30 degree rule, and laying in your hammock at an angle not straight. If I ever make it to a campout I would be glad to show anyone interested, the "how to's".
My personal coldest was down to 23 degrees in Ocala. in a hammock you have to account for a venturi effect which makes it cooler.
                      Hope this helps some.

May have to look into a protus tarp soon as well.
