About a month ago I commissioned Protus Industries to build me a custom 8x10 light weight rip stop tarp in a old school camo pattern. Protus Industries manufactures top of the line light weight tarps as a standard but im a rather picky consumer so I contacted the owner about building something special for me. I wanted a one of a kind tarp built to my specs. It had to be light but bullet proof, a given for these guys but I wanted it in a pattern not used for a few years and I wanted it in a size not often made by those specializing in light weight high performance tarps. After some time spent in design and negotiations I finally received my tarp.. The Protus Industries Tier1.

Killer pattern, awesome design and craftsmanship
Now the true test for a tarp of this quality is to test it in rainy weather. Well I live in Southern Kalifornia and it aint the rainy season. It was however warm and sunny during the day and COLD at night. Cold enough that the dew froze on the plants and edges of the tarp. We put it up on the ridge line above our two friction cots(wrap a tarp around two poles)

this pic was taken approx 200 ft above and away from the tarp. Notice that the a frame structure of the raised platform beds are what catch your attention. The tarp is all but invisible in the grass..

Although I did not test it in heavy rain, I have no reason to believe that it wont perform. With its ample tie outs reinforced at each location and a heavy duty french roll seam joining both sides together this tarp is truly..............TIER1
