Maratac flashlight died
I have had this AAA maratac light for 4 to 5 years now best little silngle AAA batt powered light I have ever owned. I thought the battery gave up the ghost this morning changed it out and nothing. Changed it out with two other AAA batteries and nothing, thought to myself test the batteries maybe they are the culprit? all the AAA Batteries were 2018 marked, recently bought with an optimum charge according to voltometer. I finally had to give in, old reliable died!!! Guess the electronics gave up.
This got me to thinking how many LED style lights do I have? I looked ( Im a flashlight aholic) I have a bad fetish for flashlights and buy them all the time... most turn out to be junk. It turns out well over half of my 50 or so flashlights are LED, the others much older incandescent. I need and will buy another Maratac today, wow they changed over the past 4-5 years glad I looked in on them. But I am also going to buy a couple incandescent sure fire weapon lights to put up as well. All my surefires are LED minus a 3P, and a 6P. I also have a G2 in one of the BOBs these have never failed over the years and I want some newer models, maybe even a scout light for a main weapon system in case of EMP which will take out the LED's, I believe.
