  • Protective (gas) Mask and Rehydrating

So I know this was touched on here
Dapatkan pengeluaran hk hari ini yang tersaji dalam data hk untuk menentukan kemenangan pemain togel hk sebagai hasil keluaran hk prize yang di sambil dari live hk pools resmi.

but seriously everyone with the goings on in Syria and elsewhere in the world and it being 100 degrees with a gazillion percent humidity in some places if you were to put that mask on and sit around much less work, patrol or even be scared with an elevated heart rate you are gonna get thirsty. Real thirsty, real fast.
If you have the water container and drinking tubes for your mask do you know how to use them? When was the last time you tried? Seriously how much water do you get? It aint much in a swig so you had better be pre-planning and starting early. Like the Camelbak motto says "Rehydrate or Die"!

Now what of you don't have anything? Well (inserting shameless plug) then look here

What if you have something different and need the adapter tube for say a camelbak?

They have a few left in stock. Camelbak is sold out as are a few other places. Can't imagine why there is a rush all the sudden LOL

Does your canteens have the lids to drink? Are the top covers broken leaving the portal exposed?

Thanks Matt I needed that.. Not being a great list maker I had forgotten that I needed a few Camelback adapters. Also folks don't forget that the protective hood over and around the mask is a very important part of the protective system.. I should order a couple more of those as well. Thanks Matt just when I thought I was starting to get a handle on things you go and point out what a slacker I am..

Just tried to reorder a bunch of masks today and got the "all we can get you is 50".

But I need to order at least 100.

"Sorry, that's all we have left right now, everyone is ordering them."

Course with these importers that also means I paid $20. more per mask than I normally do. The inventory of masks we had in stock dried up within two days here lately. You couldn't give them away a year ago.....

So all of us get stuck in the cycle sometimes also.

LOL,, im on backorder for the Israeli M15 masks who would have ever thought that would happen!! Im good for me but its always good to have more.. I have a great source for the MCU2P and filters but lately all he has been able to get me are expired filters. Of the masks I have I think I prefer the MCU2p and the scott M98 with a better field of view and better air flow than the M40. The Mcu is pretty comfortable.. Those old school Israeli masks I had back in the early 90's are just costume wear now.. LOL

Ok like I admitted I just got the stuff for the NBC camelbak and in addition to the part http://www.uscav.com/productinfo.asp...d=8295&TabID=1
              that I stated earlier
AND you must have the hydrolink on the drink tube or this is useless
This will fix it http://www.uscav.com/productinfo.asp...d=6124&TabID=1 if you have an older or knockoff system. I have the older original military and one of the original civilian models sooooooo I gotsta update

Also camelbak states that you need the nbc bladder for lethal environments.

thanks mat.. I saw that when I watched the video on uscav site. I have a few non camelback bladders and want to convert them to the hydrolink setup so that works well for me anyways. What are your thoughts on the camelback in line filter?? I have always been leery about using in line filters because I don't like the idea of putting contaminated water into my main water bladder. I do however have a aquamira inline one for my secondary bladders that gets kept in my assault pack or FILBE main pack. That way if i am on the go and dont have time to filter the water into the main bladder I can just hook up the inline filter and go.. Truth be told I don't like the taste of the water from bladders and would prefer to drink bottled water but thats not always possible. I am working on a new line of gourmet MRE's for Kalifornia survivalists though. The first one will be Chicken cordon bleu with asparagus in garlic butter sauce and creme brulee with pieces of kiwi and a mint glaze. It's very much a work in progress but I have high hopes ;)

I HONESTLY DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM SO PERHAPS SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE WILL WEIGH IN. I SEEM TO BE THE MONKEY AND MY FOOTBALL IS ALL OUT OF AIR ON THIS NEWER STUFF. I REALLY DON'T WANT CONTAMINATED WATER N MY BLADDER THOUGHTruth be told I don't like the taste of the water from bladders and would prefer to drink bottled water but thats not always possible. OK IT'S A GOOD IDEA BUT IN WONT WORK BECAUSE KALIS WILL SPEND ALL YOUR TIME ON THE PHONE ANSWERING QUESTIONS LIKE IS THE CHICKEN FREE RANGE, IS THE CORDON BLEU MADE WITH DAIRY, IS THE ASPARAGUS ORGANIC ETC ETC AND SALES WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COME IN LMAO
On a more serious note I have this discussion all the time at work with my civilian coworkers. Water and food is nothing more than fuel and taste and texture etc are unimportant. Yes rubber and plastic doesn't taste good especially at 130degree but it's mind over matter. It dont mind and you dont matter just get it down or die

Well USCAV and Camelbak were both backed up on the hydrolink setup but found them here

mine is on the way. I've decided to just carry the nbc link in my mask carrier pouch here until (hopefully I pray never) needed

If anyone is doing this stuff don't forget to practice physical activity and fighting in them. It's a whole new ballgame in there. Once you learn to drink do some jumping jacks then regain control of your breathing and then take a drink.
A word of caution if you have heart issues, breathing issues, asthma or something along those lines this will stress the body and mind to limits that can cause issues when exercising or working in a mask Medical folks feel free to jump in and say what needs to be said. I don't have this knowledge because i was Army and dealt with mostly physically fit per-screened troops and got to avoid these issues
                      Also try a little shooting

then take swigs between shots and see how much you have to move in order to drink. That movement needs to be hidden or controlled so as not to give away your position.

VERY NICE.. I have more than a couple bladders and not all of them are the camelback variety. I like being able to cut off the non standard parts and replace them with the camelback quick link set up. I sometimes get great deals on some kind of gear or another and ill just pull off a few for me that is what happened with the hydration bladders. Under normal conditions I probably wouldn't have purchased them but when you resale sometimes stuff is almost free, or so you tell yourself so you can keep extra gear. Camelback is legit stuff I wish I had a wholesale source.

True M-95 NATO-style gas mask filters can be had for $5 each on eBay, albeit expired since 2011. But UNOPENED filters can far exceed the FDA required expirations of 10 years, and the guy says he has cases and cases of them (storage unit bidder), so I would bet he would give a good bargain to a case purchase...

Just a heads up if anyone needs one of the best filters made...
