    SpecOps Belts
While a belt might not be as exciting as the new x5000 zorchiton ray gun, soon to hit the shelves for only a gazillion pesos, it is the base that will hold the coolios and keep you from sagging like an inner city entrepreneur plumber. I was in the market for a new belt and Team Karen had one on and was kind enough to pick one up for me at a store they frequent.

It has plastic hardware which can be important if you work or frequent an area in a secure environment. The belts come overly long even for their size rating which allows you to easily trim it to the length you wish for. A simple cut from scissors and a lighter to melt the ends in the manner you wish for. I leave mine a little long which allows you to loosen it for a grab handle, share it with someone else if needed or tie in to stuff. The design even makes for a tourniquet in a pinch.

The belts are stiff enough to properly hold holsters in the upright position snuggly against the body without the typical lean seen all too often giving away many a ccw carrier. This is very important as belt fit is something overlooked and most belts are over weighted for their design. They come in various colors for those who wish to match their murse or whatever. Yeah, for the price they can't be beat... The Propper ones are similiar.

But I am one that does think it a bit too stiff vertically for use when NOT carrying, which for me is every workday since I work at a institution of high learning (AKA run by liberal idiots) and cannot have firearms at work or in THEIR privately-owned parking lot. So I found some great 1-3/4" military surplus webbing on eBay that is perfect for a non-carry belt. Mildly stiff with great twisting flex... I sewed it up on my walking foot sewing machine and LOVE IT! Best belt I own... In the now coming back into "gun culture" style OD green too...

But for a carry belt, hard to beat...

I have a simaular belt that I wear full time, I have sewn a 16 inch by 1/2 inch zipper on the inside of the belt. It works wonderful as a money belt or for storing flat soft items.
Survival question. What do I need most, right now?
