  • nylon vs. rubber

I made the decision to lighten my load a little. I'm taking my BOB out of my car in lieu of an expanded EDC. I went to my big pack which has a detachable day pack and discovered something that troubled me, a hole. In the pics, you will see a hole that started from the inside, moving out that was caused by a rubber tourniquet. It must have fallen out of my first aid kit while checking it out or grabbing a band-aid out of necessity. I'll repair it with a tent patch unless someone has a better idea.

yep that rubber can mess up some stuff, same thing happens in tackle boxes with rubber worms. So if you use a tackle box for a first aid kit make sure it has rubber worm proof drawers so tourniquets and gloves etc dont melt into other stuff.

tent repair or them military type patches used to repair gear/clothing work well also. They even make some iron on stuff
