Going to try this. Good to have on ninja missions. Anyone ever try this to verify ?
on military cbaks-
step 1- turn on vavle
step 2- insert bite valve into skull cave
step 3- suck
(alt to step 2)- pinch bite valve, and squeeze h20 out( push on bladder or i just arch my back with my mule and t he pressure does the rest)
i normally do this after i fill the thing anyway..
Your too young to have a noisy bladder :)
It works and on hard canteens back in the day, when men were men and LBE's had to be taped, we all drank from one canteen and it was emptied. No one ninjad around with 1/2 empty canteen.

Most of the time on hikes I dont carry a camel bak, just 2 1liter nalgenes. And they ride empty unless we arent near water. When I hit water or camp is when I fill them.
But, I have used my camel bak mountain biking or jogging and the swish gets annoying if I am not listening to metal tunes. But, if I was in Matt and Grands neck of the prairie and needed to be super ninja 5000, I like this idea.
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

I remember those days- it was either FULL or EMPTY, no in betweens.
And I'm convinced more people stay hydrated that way. Now a days you look at someone in the field, they are red faced, showing early signs- "hey you drinking enough?"
"Yep, been drinking from my camelbak" two big soda pop straw slurps every half hour is usually what that boils down to.
Harder to "monitor" drinking with a C back IMO. I remember the medics, TL's and assistants going around slapping the bottom of canteen covers.
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"
