Nice, still trying to work mine out. My brother gave me a vest surplus to him (LBE) but trying to put AK mags in the STANAG mag pouches is proving problematic. Ever done a camoflage test with all the mismatched patterns? That would be interesting to see.

i've got some woods right next to my place. i'll shoot something this weekend and throw it up. i try to avoid buying ACU when possable. but those camel backs are always either ACU or DCU. I bought a bunch of dye at winn dixie on my way home from training this weekend. I might dye up that acu mag pouch into an ODish green.

Yeah, another smart man who shoots an XD... I like the mix of ALICE and MOLLE and love ALICE belts as well... Tough and stiff. Interesting rig...

what sits next to my bed to toss on and run......;p( china made 3 cell w/4 30 round mags, 2 g17 mags,4inch izzy,hh compressed gauze. cbak MULE- my GHB, with sds medic pouch that holds a katadyn mini,and a sds dbl m4 pouch with extra medical)



my main rig right now is a TT modular vest.
i have no recent pics of it. but it is basically a mesh vest covered in molle. I run 3 x hsgi UMMPs across the front, a sds dbl m4 pouch that holds shears ,a CAT and old style dressing, other side has a medical pouch, the other a sds 1 qt canteen pouch that doubles to hold gear ( gloves/bandana ,ear/eye pro etc) and be a dump pouch for small items.I have a TT g-nade pouch that holds a 4 inch izzy and my fighting knife on it as well. On the back is a hydro carrier and a BHI strobe pouch with strobe. The hydro area/ and admin areas inside the vest holds some over night stuff aka E and E gear.

this is what i was running for a while to i went back to the TT vest.



im gonna sell off most of the HSGI kit anyway...great kit, just doesnt fit my needs anymore. to dang hot to wear imho, and to front heavy once loaded up. The TT mod vest rides better and gives me more options that the HSGI warlord rig.

Not a Kukhri, a TDI knife.

I think someone showed him a while back the advantage of having a knife like that on the ground. :)

The knife is setup with similar ergonomics as a pistol and depending how you attach it, can be drawn from the right or left hand.

Most people will attach it to gear in a center, lower area to allow easy withdrawal on the ground- think of the "guard" position. See pic attached.

They make many sizes of those knives and a couple different blade types IIRC. On a vest the wife uses, we couldn't find a way to attach a larger one so we got one of the little ones and kinda zip tied it into the vest material.

Best thing I like about them- they are affordable.

yeah this crazy kung fu master showed me that knife ;p

it rides around the same area on my tt mod vest as yours now but over near my weak side so it doesnt snag on stuff.
it sat to high on the warlord which is why i moved it to the TT vest. It replaced the cold steel peacemaker i had on there.
