Well i finally got off my butt, and put something together. I grabbed this old first aid kid i bought around 15 years ago and emptied is out. (all the drugs/iodine/alcohol were expired a few years back) This bag fits well in my cargo pocket of if I am wearing shorts without i even put it in the back pocket. On the left i added a 5x6 tarp, rubber gloves, basic first aid, an empty zip top bag, and a safety pin. On the right in the zippered section i have 12 foot of 550 cord with a few rubber bands wrapped around it. the Knock off Swiss army knife has a saw and scissors which is the biggest reason its in here. in the top bag is a lighter, super glue, and pill tube with ibuprofen. in the next bag is a small button led flash light. i have used this light for years and it has not failed me yet. you can also see this container that looks like a battery. It has a whistle, compass, and mirror build in. the mirror is about useless but hey what am I gonna do, it was free. inside I have 10 feet of fishing line plus all the needed gear. wrapped in packing tape is a large hook. You can also see 10 foot of duck tape on the top. not seen is several sheets of paper to put the pencil to use. The last thing is a flash drive that has scanned copies of important paperwork in an encrypted file and folders full of family pictures. This is mostly if my house if robbed for burned down at least i have a copy somewhere.
On the way is a survival straw, and olive drab emergency blanket.
