I decided to put together a "tourist bag" because we like to go a few places, some of them with limited security procedures where they may peer into the bag. I needed a bag that was not camo, threatening nor Military in appearence. I found one at a knife shop in Branson Mo. It's a no name brand tan in color.
I made some descisions in what I wanted based on the fact that someone will look at it.

I put my Bota of Boulder water filter bottle in it which i recently removed from my GMHB after replacing it with a Katydn Hiker. The bottle contains Aquamire drops and Camelbak elixer tablets and the bottle can be used with or without the filter.

I placed a Pelican Hard Box 8x5inch water proof (or water carrying) box with the following items:
LED Flashlight, SOG Multitool (which can be removed for liberaltards), TP, 2 power bars with 23grams of protein each, Browning headlamp with red and white light, Magnifier for Solar Ignition, 15ft Paracord, emergency blanket, waterproof bottle with cotton & dryer lint with petroleum jelly as tinder, tin with fire kit.

The Bag should not raise to many eyebrows and combined with my EDC should allow me to get back to the vehicle on the shorter tourism hikes.

I also have 2 of those cheap carabiners on it and I wove 12 ft of that military twine into one of the zippers.

My fire tin has a mini Bic lighter, fire steel and homemade charcloth which the tin can be used to make more of if needed.

Ok, so what else is needed keeping in mind this is a supplemental kit to the GMHB that might be used as a bag to toss to a family member, friend etc. during a crisis if they have nothing to assist in a support role. It's just to take out on a short nature walk or tourist area for a few hours in case something goes wrong because I refuse to carry a fanny pack or Man Purse no matters whos name is on it.

Looks good for what you intend to use it for. Some additional medical items I would add (in addidtion to that awesome JRH Medical kit) would be; Benadryl tablets, bug spray, bug bite spray or wipe, maybe a small roll of tums, small bottle of sunscreen (I know my dermatologist is always willing to give me a few), a little moleskin and a tube of chapstick or blistex. You have some Aspirin in the JRH kit, so that would get you back to the car, but a pack of tylenol or motrin may help also and not add much weight or take up much room.

Looks like you have the basics covered, even if caught out for a short bit...shelter, fire, food, water purification and basic medical. I'm sure you have a cell most of the time, and when allowed a protection device.

Guns and gear are cool, but bandages stop the bleeding!

ATTENTION: No trees or animals were harmed in any way in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were really ticked off!

Nice bag. Under the radar and well stocked. The only other thing I would add would be one of those inexpensive ($4.50 and weighs less than a pound) tube tents. On a cold/wet/snowy night, immediate shelter for up to 2 people could be a morale booster.

Going near some places with streams if the drought hasn't got them so I threw in a fishing tin in my black box. I might kill a few minutes playing with the perch, I mean practicing my tier level one master skywalker survival skills utilizing force on force combative techniques! LOL
