I have used mine for years and even showed it in the GMHB when we did the BOB post. It's in there in case I have to hunker down for the night and the GMHB is also my hunting pack. It's an awesome piece of equipment to I use fishing, hunting, backyard bbq, gardening etc! One of my favorite bow hunting areas in a swamp and it would be impossible without it between the gnats, mosquitos and blowflies. The liquid butane can also be sliced open for firestarting if it goes bad and then the catrideges can be placed on the edge of the coals for the same effect.
    Thanks for the review

i used to not want one, till i started using it 3 years or so back. I take it when i car camp or hunt. We used one at the last hike in base camp when we sat for dinner to keep the skeeters off us.

I glad to know that. I would have thought they were just one more gimmick purchase I didn't need. Now, I'll probably get one.

Do they work against no seeums?

I'd bet if it had a Kifaru Multicam MOLLE pouch you'd carry it in a heartbeat on hiking trips :D

Nice review. But one question I have. What's the range like when taking wind into account? I know the website says 15x15 and you quoted 10 feet, but was this on a calm day or slightly windy? Or do they have that much impact on how it performs?

5-6 hrs I only carry enough to sleep for movement or hunt in a day set. I always have extra in the truck.

Based on this thread, I took a chance an bought one. A little expensive, but so far I've been really impressed. I've been able to sleep with the tent open (wall type canvas) since it's been blazingly hot during the day and night and have yet to get bit. While the up front costs are a little more, the fact I get a good night's sleep without swatting at mosquitoes all night long is better. The fuel cells even last a little longer than advertised.

Thanks Protus for pointing this out to me.
