  • VIDEO ~ TRIOX Fuel Bar Test ~ 1984-era USGI issue

Was doing some spring-time GEAR inventory and bumped into these old, USGI, 1984-era TRIOXANE fuel bars I have been storing forever, and I wondered if they still worked...

So I present my first "survial short" video on the test and results...

I guess fuel bars last 'forever'. Would never have thought so. Thanks.

LOL! Brothers from a different mother...

When I did this video, the noise of the road traffic really woke me up to how loud it is... Man, I live rural, but I live off a 2-lane road that is busy in the day with people going back and forth from the city to the boonies, and in the winter there is not much vegitation as a sound barrier, so it is loud...

I am really starting to think about selling and moving somewhere more rural and off a main road... But all the work I have put into this place keeps me from doing it... Hate to start over again... Too much work getting it viable... arrgghhh... I guess I am zombie food...

I have a bunch of these and keep a few in my BOB with the stove for it as well. They work and they dont seem to ever go bad. I too had an open one that had been opened for years, sure enough lit it and it worked perfectly.
