  • No sling

I bought a A R style rifle and later replaced the barrel with a heavier duty model. When I swopped out the newer barrel didn't have a sling loop.

Is there a bolt on loop you can get?

I built a leather sling and fastened it using a couple snaps but it's hardly effective as it doesn't swivel.

    Any ideas?

Yes several ideas actually. I need to know what kind of handguard you are using, wether or not it has rails etc.
Rails, you can use something similiar to this http://www.mountsplus.com/AR-15_Acce...STR-99510.html
Free Float with slots, soemthing like this http://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPHGS
The holes in a regular hanguard try something like this, http://www.mountsplus.com/AR-15_Acce...IWC-SQDF0.html
let me know if this helps or if there is something else you are thinking of

hhmm I don't know that any of those would work. I'll try and find my barrel on the web and link it to give you a better idea....If I had half a brain I would of done that to begin with lol

Matt I think i found the answer to my question. that mount that bolts throught the holes of the hand guard, do you have to disassemble the upper?

That one looked like the best choice.

No I actually have one of them in my spare parts and was trying to find it online to show you. All you have to do is remove the handguard (half) by pulling the ring downward and sliding the handguard off, bolt it in place then again pull the ring down and replace the handguard half. If it's to tight to do by hand try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoHJ3ziovww
Ok I found it and I think it's from Uncle Mikes see attached. It just goes in the hole in the handguard.
