Realible back-up back-up compass

I find that I am in need of a small back-up compass, I have several in various bags that i use for land nav etc., but I need something a bit smaller & more robust than a 'button' compass. I have been doing the internet search at Amazon etc. and have "maybe" narrowed in down to 2 brunton models.
I looking for something that I can carry on a keychain or attached to my multi-tool belt pouch. It would be nice if it was usable in the water also. I have a compass feature on my watch but it needs to be calibrated often, so isn't very reliable. Thanks & Happy New Year to All.

A very good idea, the watch is subject to satellites ( i would imagine). Simple backups are a great idea.

Thanks, for the input although I'm not sure I appreciate it being implied that I'm stupid. The Silva Ranger is my primary compass, & I have two brunton fixed dial compasses for other bags. I think i will get 2 of the Silva carabiner style.

I wasn't implying you are stupid. I said "almost" and that was only personal opinion. A lot of the Brunton stuff USED to be made right here but I believe they are now mnfg in china. No offense intended.

OOPs my mistake. I ddin't know about the brunton being made overseas, but I did read somewhere else that their small 'button' model froze and is easily broken. Sorry for my sharp response.

Thanks Matt, I like the compass store web site it has a lot of information. The only small key chain type compasses looked to flimsy, or where marketed as jewelry. I too used to swear by my lensatic compass but I now use the silva 15cl, I love that I can mechanically adjust for declination.
