  • How will you light your house?

The blanket of black has covered the horizon. Your animal instincts automatically activate your level of awareness to every bump in the night. This is our survival mechanism going into effect. After all, humans are diural creatures.

Let there be light!! The above link is a pretty cool solar powered light (there are actually two models to choose from)...

You simply take it (them) outside every morning and hang them in an area with direct sunlight. When darkness falls, you retrieve your light(s) and place them on hanging pot hooks that you have strategically placed in your house.

This allows a few more hours of house/inside chores. But it also allows a sense of security. All you have to do is see a 3 y/o freak out when the power drops at night to know, HUMANS LIKE LIGHT!!

Hehe, maybe I should have said "I see the light!" LOL how many of you remember that from combat training?

I don't mean this as a slam, but the gentleman on the left is "popa" Ron ti my children. WE'll have solar electricity within the year at our Homestead...

i don't know how it works (yet) but I'll essentially flip a switch and the lights will "keep working"

Thanks for the links. I think I may get one of those nokero bulbs just to see how well it works.

I like the looks of the nokero buld, but at $15/ea that's a bit steep. The standard solar lights for your garden are cheaper, but are they any better.... I have no idea. The cheap black plastic solar lights from Wally world will do okay in my opinion.

If you get the nokero bulb be sure to give a review of it
