Georgia is too far for me to get to for a meet and great camp out. However Mid-Tennessee would only be about 8 hours, plus there are a lot of Illinois members here who might be able to go. Anyone want to talk further?

Just a thought I would be willing to host a meet I have some property in North Mississippi thats off the beaten path.. Lets just say if you go to a Mid Tennessee meet you would fall under less than favorable restrictions in state parks. My property is huntable and has a lake. No Electricity except for what we bring (gensets) etc. Be a good time to test out our gear. Its rolling pasture with along with woods and set back off the road by a half mile. I believe it would be a good meet point considering where everyone that has responded is from trying to keep travel time down as much as possible. Lets have your thoughts.Comment

If I may make a suggestion one of our favorite places to camp is Indian Boundary Campground in the Cherokee National Forest. 115 acre lake (no motorboats), 90+ campsites, very clean bathroom/shower facilities, reservable. Halfway between Chattanooga and Knoxville off I-75.

I would consider going to Tennessee..maybe even Mississppi. I'm from Pa so Miss. would be a lomg ride. I would like to go with the purpose of learning (and of corse meeting new people) new thing being that I'm new to this. Would that be acceptable?Comment
