Later this fall we will be hosting our annual get togethers in Florida and Georgia.
The Florida campout has been held at a public campground in the Ocala National Forest for the last 7 or 8 years. Located an hour from the Orlando area, hour and a half from Jacksonville this draws folks from all over Florida and Georgia.
Amenities include HOT SHOWERS, a covered pavilion, a large BBQ setup, lake for fishing and swimming.
The Georgia campout has been held at General Coffee state park near Douglas, GA for the last 7 or 8 years. Located about 2 hours from Jacksonville, FL, an hour from Valdosta and 3 hours from Atlanta.
The Georgia campout is done in a "Pioneer" camping area. Amenities are very simple- running water and an outhouse. Although 1 mile down the road still in the park can be found hot showers, laundry service, a pool, playgrounds, etc.
We have and will continue to offer FREE cl***es at these gatherings on a multitude of survival and preparedness related subjects such as: firemaking, first aid, tracking skills, canning and preserving food, gardening, BOB setup and use, land navigation and map reading, observation lanes, knife defense, ground fighting and a variety of other skills.
Most folks attend just for the fellowship but say the free cl***es are a big plus. Normal attendance for either get together ranges from as little as 25 to as many as 40. Families are welcome. Neither of these gatherings are 'survival training', you won't be eating bugs, living in brush shelters, etc. Unless of course you want to :) A great many wives and children attend, ages range from babies up to "seasoned" folks in their 60's and 70's. Cl***es and any training offered are OPTIONAL activities, you can come and sit in a camp chair all weekend and just talk to folks if you choose.
Their really are few opportunities to meet and spend time with other like minded folks in a secure, friendly environment, use these opportunities while they are still available.
2010 dates will be posted soon. Look forward to seeing you there!
