How about a synthetic folding stock for an SKS? It came on the Norinco that was given to me as a gift, I have since returned the rifle to original configuration.

I'll be there for a spell Saturday morning for sure.
Maybe even overnite, not quite sure yet if that will be possible.
Anyone who has never met any of the fine folks that inhabit this board is missing out on a good thing.

folks,
i'm encouraging my little lady friend to attend. still in discussions!
--
this would be a good weekend to bring the spouse.
my wife has been twice...
on her first visit... there was huge lightning storm much of the night.
and i heard the "what if's
what if it rains?
what if the wind blows the tent down?
what if the rain and wind come and blow the tent down and all our stuff gets wet?
i was pooped after a busy week at work. but it was great.. the lightning show was wonderful to view.
a fella i didn't know wondered up and volunteered to help us put up the tent... he's become a good friend.
i turned him down about 3 times but he could see we weren't progressing very well on the tent so i relented! glad i did.
i've made some good friends at this campout... folks i'd feed and sleep if they need food or shelter. folks i've learned to trust them. that's a big word.
--
on another campout, the weather was predicted to be in teens.. my wife had had some lung issues. she didn't need to be in 15 degree weather outside. two other couples were also going. we agreed to rent a cabin and use it for the women (and a back up for the men) while the men "toughed it out"
--
the other 2 couples backed out at the last minute. (it was going to be cold!! they said... duhh) guess who got stuck with the cabin rental!!
there's a lesson in that story.
BUT, we learned about camping in 15 degree weather. my wife stayed in the cabin. she didn't get sick!!
camp water spigot froze.. the camp stew turns to a block of ice.. one of the old geezers there froze taking middle of the night "walks" because he drank too much coffee and hot chocolate around the campfire!!
advertisement... the cabins are nice.. they are a short drive from the primitive camping area.... probably 3-4 miles.
but mid november weather in so. georgia should be very nice. no cabins should be needed because of weather.
come join us and maybe you'll meet a few folks you can learn to trust. and it's possible you'll meet someone you'll learn not to trust... that's happened to me too.... BUT, isn't it nice to learn these things now. in a non stressful situation.
before it becomes critical.
come on down... (or up, or over) and join us.

RR- we will be expecting several good "what if" discussion starters around the campfire :) We tease him about that but honestly he usually starts a good discussion that way!

On the calendar. Will know 100% the closer we get to November. I am really looking forward to this folks. Sounds like some serious fun and hopefully the weather will be nice.
And I will try not to get choked. :)
