  • ~small beginnings~ One week later

Well, I thought I would post on my new to me home.

~small beginnings~ has been conceptual, in Prayer Mode sine late last year. I am no longer happy supporting the City I live in, which has to much evil in the politics. A wiccan is mayor, second term. the county just had a wiccan "not run again" and right at the end cost the county 65,000 $$$$ in defense fees, knowing he & his other ~partner~ was guity, but hey, free legal defense doesn't cost the guilty, it costs the Innocent.

~small beginnings~, moving out of a typical layout 2 BR 1 1/2 bath townhouse... into a 27 foot long Motor Home!

Many might know that I am deeply involved in Street Ministry, I am a ~called~ Pastor same as Paul was a ~called~ Apostle. Seeing every level of independent living in our guests... from No pack, but small bags... to car camping, the up scale (bitter humor) are those who have small motor homes, and its bitter humor, because often they have no gas, or something gets stolen off the rig... or impounded, and lost forever.

But this is not my case. I am down sizing to cut overhead. period. Well, I am also no longer 'safe' on stairs due to nerve damage in right leg... operation is ~scheduled~ VA df: someday, yes.

It was a month ago, when a Christian friend offered her 27 foot 1 ton Dodge, w/ dualies on the back, all mechanically sound, but of course TLC!

I bought it, knowing it was From GOD Himself, through a loyal follower... Paid Cash: $750.00 on August first, paid License & title, etc on the second: $310/two year tags, but one year not paid (expired)...

Today, with help from a Christian friend (I have no other kind) we un tarped the roof, fired it up, and drove it 3 miles to the back door of my town house.

I will Bug Bomb it tomorrow, open it up over night for vent out. then prep it for living.

the best news is, if times get tough.... only sixty five miles to a rent free five acre spot, in rural area. deer, abundant, lake for fishing, only 300 yards to water!

I feel this came to me just in the exact timeliness for the way our country is going. I have a "Mobile Home Park" that desires to me to move in, one MORE Christian renter!!!! I will be across the River, the good side of town...

More later, I wrote this Oh Dark Thirty, due to awakened by pain, meds kicking in....

    In Him,
    philip
    for Jesus,

    my life I give,

doing si much, i forgot where I posted this... duh, there is a search engine!!!

Monday we moved it, Wednesday, it was hosed down, scrubbed with Clorox, rinsed then washed to clean it, White "Oxides" lifted off... several small unsecured trim pieces worked loose, that work by Brother Richard, why I attacked spider webs, dead bugs, and dust. Swiffers are great for that!, I tire easily, and lay down for just a few moments... Brother Richard, 10 years my Junior, is still in tireless Male mode... I remember those days!

We worked on the house Thursday, and today was Street Ministry, I could write a volume, on just today, God's presence was with us. For the first time in 16+ years, Street Ministry is broke. no funding from our usual sources.... We closed today, for a one month time, during which, we will send out new requests. We pay rent to a Church for the one & a half days we use it: the half day is loading donated foods into our refrigerators, the day prior to cooking (we always serve on Fridays, scheduled with other ~soup kitchens~) Ours though is a Ministry, no more free clothes, toiletries, even reading glasses... our cooks are professional "institution type" cooks, and serve wonderful food... we just do not have $$$$$

I was unaware of this when I taught. last Friday.... we Started the Gospel of John: in the three years I have taught, I have covered the Book of Acts, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, & Colossians, not in that order.... Thursday, God told me to teach Jude. I listen when HE speaks.

Honestly, Jude is an Epistle I have never read, save a verse or two as "reference to's" ...
I started with Three students... it soon doubled. I have been working on one man, for eighteen Months... by the Benediction Prayer, I had laid hands upon him, feeling his grief welling up, spewing over.

With the Amen in Jude, I asked the Brothers to surround Tex, and lay on of hands. We all Prayed as the Holy Spirit led us. as it was ending I pulled out a vial of Anointing Oil, Brother Richard, seeing me with the one hand still on Tex, took the lid off, and I covered his head with oil.

He was so rested from the demons leaving him, he slept like a new baby, straight through our Church Worship, and sermon...waking up, only to the noise of people getting ready to eat...

a common man is Tex, and with a slow brain, due to a harsh accident when very young. But he knows what the Holy Spirit feels like... after eighteen months of being with us...

          All Praise to God!

Broadcasting LIVE, from Small Beginnings, it is our first Night in the Motor Home.

My physical injuries an on going issue, I just had to stop sleeping in my Lazy boy recliner....

this directly relates to real preparations thinking... I believe many get baffled by the what first syndrome, and there by fail it all, for lack of starting!

example... My physical issues, balance and strength, to climb stairs (reminder, I was/am living in a town House), first was move my necessities down stairs.

From an old boss, circa 1975, if traveling North, take something that needs to go North, on the return trip, your bringing back what you went for, but both trips are used more efficiently.

I virtually plan every move on the stairs.... I just can not trust my Right hip/knee to function... so each trip must do or be a complete job!

sleep is for me vital to repair my injuries, but getting my Bed down stairs was out of the question, so was staying in the Lazy Boy, for quality sleep...

No power in ~small beginnings~ yet. I am on one extension cord, 12 gauge, 25 feet, charging my deep cycle battery, why running my CPAP Machine. yet my other power sources are present, I plan on a small primer on my thoughts of 12 Volt living, around here, that might be singing to the choir, but may a few thoughts will be exchanged!\

I like a small movement of air across me: lo9ng ago that made the matter in this way:

a small 12 volt gel cell... with a computer fan glued to it, very portable, very quiet. Works for me!

gotta end this, sleep cycle starting!
            for Jesus,

            my life I give,

Well an update is due... Last night, I finally learned what a heavy sleeper is.

Please understand, as a VietNam veteran, For years, a mouse could not pass gas, without waking me up, to learn what was going on, in my AO....

So, I was only slightly amused, wheh I found out I am really, I mean ~Really~ REALLY a heavy sleeper!

Let me explain here just for all to get the ~clear Kodak~ Moment here... I fixed Aviation Communication Equipment in VietNam, that is not a REMF job, I was stationed 7 Klics off the Ho Chi Minh ~hiway~ you call it trail if you insist, by the time it got to the Fish Hook, you could drive Deuce & a halfs on it....

I once slept through a mortar hitting a fully fueled H Model, with Ammo loaded. the Pilot set down on the Maintenance Tarmac, to save several hundred yards of WALKING..... But until last night, I thought of myself, a light sleeper, I did! can yuo spell NOISE? that I slept through.

So, I say I was slightly amused to find myself, on the floor last night, having BROKEN 33 year old particleboard, which comprised the mid section of my bed.... it was also used once, for the table, in the section called the dining room....

I can laugh at just about anything, mostly myself.... I find laughing at err law enforcement or security officers who stand more than Six Foot Five inches, of solid muscle NOT to be in my best interests, so I limit myself in that ~one~ area....

I just awoke, from a serious nap... I was working beyond my abilities today, I got Richard home, and ~crashed asleep~ just after reinforcement of that middle area with a 18 inch wide pice of 3/4 in Baltic Birch plywood.

Not a bit fearful of gravity now.

In other areas of my changing residence, I added 12 Volt LED area lighting to ~small beginnings~ yesterday evening, after the challenge from gravity that awoke me from another ~crashed asleep~ you see, in my old house, I have been Experimenting with LED lights for some time. Great means to light a house. but They got, err packed... who IS the funny guy that did not make a packing list for this move????

Oh, right, already laughed at him.

I am hungry, I have not yet COOKED in ~small beginnings~ I love cooking on Gas... or wood (sigh, memories of Wood Stove baked bread.....) so I will close this now, and acquire a meal.....

not all in jest, but all is fun, that is, if you can find humor in a Bunker (I'll tell that story another time) you can laugh at most anything....

                in HIM,
                for Jesus,

                my life I give,

                    It is the last day of the month of August, I turned in my application to rent my space for small beginnings, they called today;

On every application to rent or lease, there is always a spot asking: have you ever been evicted? Well, I live where I do, because I won not one, NOT Two, but Three evictions, from the same spot! The owner walked into court the first time, with Cocaine powder rings on his nostrils, I kid not! I won that eviction, by saying I can not live in harmony with the property manager, so I will move.

Eviction 2, I had not moved FAST enough, so they refiled. I won by the judge providing me 30 days additional time, reminding the owner, that WHEN they rented to me, they KNEW I was disabled, and they should have a little ~respect~ for a Veteran who served their country... the owner was not able to speak an accurate single sentence, but his nose was at least clean.

Eviction 3. I signed a quit claim on the Single Wide Mobile Home I owned outright, the Judge witnessed that paper. The Judge then found in my favor, and ordered the owner to PAY my travel fees.

I mention all this, because none of that came up on my "record" maybe only I "lost" the eviction show up????

Well, I told them the truth, but NOW I must prove, what they could not FIND, because it is on my application!

I was going to move Sept First, I still might, if I can get all the above Faxed to them, at speed.

I am cooking and lighting our home, as I wish, using quality LED lighting.

When I get settled in, over ~there~ I will do a write up here, on what I consider to be the BEST LED LIGHTS for those of simple life style, frugal one may say, with a slight smile....

                    philip,
                    loving every minute of it,
Because GOD is my forward direction.

PJ usually there is a state court website that might have the outcome of the case on it so it could be as simple as hitting the print button. If not it's a trip to the court clerk to do an FOI request then scan that and hang on to it for future stuff.

I am officially IN now, the information at the Court Office was interesting: "State Law" only requires Municipalities to store evictions for Three Years, its been almost eight! Then they said, maybe the residing Judge may remember the case, this was to my land lady... whose phone then rang (she was on my phone, I asked them to speak to her)... the incoming call was the person who would be making the decision, with the land lady saying the above, she said "he is approved, let him have the new space number"... I was going to be facing East West, now I will be facing North South, with an excellent Southern Exposure for solar panels!

Praise God! My First & blast month together, will only be $20.00 MORE than my regular one month rent!

that means, in three months, the Cost of my Motor Home will be paid off... and I will be in the "plus" zone Making money besides!!!

I will not look at how soon I will be debt free, until I settle into a rhythm, but I am very pleased!

Well, a lot has gone on since last post...

I moved to the mobile home park. Richard, one of my Bible Students drove my Forester, as tail end... I gassed up for the move, aired my dualies, as they looked low, and hit the Beltline.

Nary a problem, in driving, save that the motor home steers like she only has five pounds of weight on the front tires. that issue will be down stream much later, I expect to be in this park for at least Six Months, maybe closer to a year... Final Parking will be on Five Acres... invited by a Brother in Christ.

He unexpectedly spent Labor Day overnight, it went well seeing he had no other options, I could not drive him home that day...

And IT turned out, that Richard drove him home yesterday... but truly, I am missing a day in this week.

I have reached my breaking point, today, handing Richard the keys to lock my old house up... with my spare car keys.... when I saw that... I just cried. really. Richard went into ~Pastoring me mode~ calmly telling me how stressful moving is, and such.

We got to my place, offloaded wood, and other things... then

Richard hooked up the water & sewer lines.

                          And ~small beginnings~ showed her real problem(s)

Water, Water, Everywhere, but not a drop restrained. Either the water pipe(s) have some breaks, or the HOLDING Tank is broken.

On the good side, the toilet/sewer now works!!!, anyone familiar with Smaller RV's Toilets know that they "drop" the waste products straight into the sewer line, if the holding gate is open.

I am storing around 14 gallons of potable water in one 7 gallon & many 1/2 or One gallon containers... straight from my hose... drinking water is still store bought, untill I can get my water filtration system going... it is gravity feed, two gallon system.... but hey, I am moving, it is easier to buy for now.

                          STRESS!

OK, that is a fair update... Oh, I am carrying my digital voice recorder now, ever since my OLD Property Manager lied to me, MULTIPLE Times... as well as becoming very unprofessional in language, over the phone... at a simple request: provide me with the dollar amount due, on remainder of the 30 day notice, I abhor abusive behavior, and I will record all conversation, with him, face to face from this point forward, OR, there will be no conversation, as ~his choice~...

Yes, just living with reduced water use, is so interesting, of course, I know there will be that day, when I return to my normal use factor, or even more.... but for now, i am OK. I bought my Garbage Can tonight, missing the Mobile Home Park (MHP) weekly garbage pickup.... but, I will be ready next week!

I also bought a second barrel bolt lock, to redo my 4X8 storage shed, I mis-placed the one I bought for that same job! OH Well, I will need it later! I bought 10 Gauge Steel sheet, to cover and strengthen my back door... the locking unit is broke, so that takes care of two issues at once, Re-enforcing the door, and repairing the lock itself

Your journey will continue in my thoughts and prayers.
I do thank you for the Prayer support, without those praying daily for me, I think I would be a blithering idiot by now.

I bought a movie a week PLUS ago, and have not had time to watch it... just minutes online, read second chance, and mountain refuge, check email, SLEEP!
