  • Oklahoma Meet up.

Discussion for a Oklahoma meet up (Continued from the Introduction forum)

    Let's find discuss a place/time to meet.

There is mention of a gun show in Tulsa in April not sure of the dates. Would this be OK for our first meet up? It is public (most likely to be packed) and we might find a corner to visit that we don't have to shout at each other to hear the conversation. Right now I can be there.

If we/you want an earlier one please say so.

Sounds good to me too Matt. We'll have to come up with some sort of identifier.

        A type of clothes
        A bandanna worn somewhere
something pinned to us...this sounds weird but hey, just throwing stuff out there ..

something visual so were not approaching just anybody and if they aren't who were looking for they can't say "um yeah..sure...I'm Cimarron .....

        Everyone chime in...

I would just find a time and a particular location somewhere in the show, say a consession stand or a particular exit and just prior to the event we can post our attire. Heck look at the deer huntings post and you can see my ugly mug. I have not been to the Tulsa gun show so I don't know whats there.

Yeah, before I found this thread I told lacey that I would let her know what I would wear. How about a camo hat.... Oh wait, nevermind.....
Survivalblog has gear that you can buy and identify each other. Not sure if this site does. Or we could determine a time and an area. I just went to the farm show a few weeks ago, there are a few snack bars (North and South sides). We could say every hour (within a designated time) we meet at the snack bar on the SE side (just an example). And we could pin on something right before walking up or while sitting down.

Okay, so what day is best? I like Saturday because of Church on Sunday. But, the wife can drop me off while she goes to the mall if sunday works better for everyone else.

@Matt a rearranged time and place would work too,,depending on the building I don't know how familiar I would be with it. We could go with letting each other know what we are wearing thing. Honestly I'm just lazy and
didn't want to remember what everyone was wearing..lol
@Lacey A PM would be a good idea, keep up our OPSEC (or practice having one)
@ Ryan Saturday would work for me too for the same reasons.

You know, the most easily identified place would be the Tulsa Driller out front. Hard to miss a 100 foot tall tan guy standing next to an oil well....

The statue sounds reasonable to me. You can't PM on this site so we'll have to figure out a way to get e-mail's phone numbers to each other to decide on a time.
