  • Silver or food and firearms

I sure could use some suggestions on my situation.
My wife and i are on a fixed monthly SS income which is our only income. But i do have 50oz's of silver bullion.
My question is,should i keep buying silver,or should i sell it and buy food and firearms.
I did buy a berkey water filter and 25lbs of rice,30lbs of sugar,25lbs of salt and 30lbs of assorted beans,so i;am off to a start. My silver is at a spot price of between $1,400 & $1,500 total.
ANY SUGGESTIONS will be greatly appreciated.

you can't eat silver and therefore it is important to stock usable supplies first. that said, i wouldn't advise selling your stash of silver as i believe the price is about to go through the roof. rather, spend your time and money getting things you need to live and wait on getting more metal until you're set up in other areas.

I wouldn't feel bad about it, most people get into PM's long before they really should.

Some "expert" tells them that PM's are how you "survive an economic collapse" thereby giving the impression that is ALL you need.

It's the classic American/Materialistic mindset of "I'll BUY my way out of the problem!"
That's why we all fall for it, cause it SEEMS correct.

For 99% of survivalists out there, their money would be better spent FIRST on:

*Food- If I had to start all over again I would not consider buying ANY PM's until I had at LEAST a year supply of food for the entire family. 95% of survivalists I've met could use either more quantity or more balance in their food storage.

*Cash- a six month to one year "emergency fund" in cold hard stuff is in the mattress cash- i.e, greenbacks a.k.a. Federal reserve notes.

*Defensive considerations- this includes more than just a double barrel shottie and a box of shells. Think TRAINING also.

*Debt- getting debt free is going to help allow you to retain INITIATIVE. It will also make your preparing efforts a LOT easier when you don't have an albatross of debt weighing you down.
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

Not being an expert, I would say those that have food to eat than shiny things are going to be better. Barter system will prevail
