    That's about $.40 a watt DELIVERED.

24 volt panels so not applicable to 12v systems, but sheesh, the price!!

We are doing very well off of 5KW now, but darn I gotta find a place for some more panels.

    Too good to pass up.

Buy them and stick them in a shed till you are ready to install them if you don't have the space or aren't ready. Heck, leave them outside stacked on the pallet, just pull all the packaging off and rachet strap them down to the pallet.

I've never used this EXACT panel, but I've had great experience with Solarblvd.

There is a FRAMELESS model of this same panel for about $30. or so less, avoid it. The frame LESS ones will not have holes for mounting, won't have a frame period. Evidently there is some clips you can get and attach to a frame you would build that clamp on to the panel, but DON'T STEP OVER A DOLLAR TO PICK UP A DIME.

Better to have a factory tough frame versus spending more cash to jury rig frames for frame less panels.

Indeed...they are nice panels with a good frame...mine are in the bed of the truck, ready to go up in the morning :)

BTW, with an MPPT controller, you can run them on a 12 volt system.

LARGE QUANTITY order is encouraged in the shipping costs... $250 shipping for ONE panel, $350 shipping for TWENTY panels...

Too many deals, not enough $$$...

Why TH didn't I think about that? Yeah DUH, with an MPPT you could set it to 12volt even if the panels were 24. I'm used to going UP in voltage instead of down.

        Big DUH on my end....

I'm in the middle of running additional wiring for them now to a Classic 150 controller. I'll let y'all know how they do in a couple of days :)
          Going to see how a series/parallel configuration works (2 strings @ 48vdc - going into 12vdc system).

You got some of those same panels? Sweet. Price can't be beat.

Yes, four of them. Wish I could have picked up more to save on the per item shipping. Maybe next time :)

BTW, the OP link takes you to a KIT now (cheaper) not the fully assembled panels. The panels are still available though.

I see what you mean. They didn't even have that "kit" before.

                Here are the panels complete-

Between work, the heat and the rain, only two have been installed thus far. The good news is they are performing quite well. On a fixed roof mount, I have caught them producing 609 watts - and we all know how "specs" are ideal condition performance ratings ;)
                  Worth the investment, IMHO.

Mine arrived but won't be installed till.... I don't even have a place picked out for them yet.

Built like every other panel that's been producing in our arrays for years, just a little longer than what we are used to.

I do believe this is going to be one of those deals I look back on later and think "darn I should have bought twice that many at that price" type of deal.

Well, they have been up for a few weeks now. They are doing quite well, 300 - 305 watts per panel in full sun...and this includes the mppt controller (Midnight Classic 150) bringing the voltage down to nominal 12 volt specs. Still early, but off to a good start!
