I have been getting box milk from some of my fellow senior's who get a food sup from the county, They don't like the idea of box milk that you put on a shelf so they gave it to me. It seems to work great for cooking like mac cheese soup etc. It is irradiated so the shelf life is for years, 3 for this box. I have seen this in Canada , I will have to look here at big lots wally world.

I had initially thought that box milk was a good idea, too. It lasted about 2 - 3 months before it started turning. Didn't even make it to the "best by" date in some cases.

Wow, they must have changed it
Up until a year ago, I used strictly UHT milk.
Had some that was 6 years old and still good. did have to shake it well to get the cream to reintegrate.
Guess I'm gonna have to be careful and look harder at brands.
Last I heard, there were only 4 dairies in the US that made UHT milk.

This stuff should last almost forever. Canada has had it on the shelve for 15-20 years. Army has used it for at least 15 years. I cook with it so I don't drink it anymore but I have not noted any going bad so far. I would call the co and gripe, maybe they would send out coupons or a case of milk to replace it. On each box is a date and batch # as well as best by date. This should be a good milk source SHTF. Also powder milk is now made from whole milk also, used to be all 2%, Don't know why. This milk/box is passed over a radiation source that kills all bugs in the milk , same as MRE's retort packs of food at the store.
