A like-new stainless steel booster pump electronic flow controlled system for my well water system. About $1500 new for $250. This will provide great flow for my filters, as the well pump was not so great at that... It will also allow me to add a water storage tank. So well pump will fill water tank, this pump will supply high-pressure to the house & filters.
    Major score!

Another industrial sewing machine (Singer 241-3) with hardwood table, clutch motor, and accessories for $100...

Some more rolls of nylon webbing from eBay for a good price...

That was just within the last two weeks...

Awersome tough old Singer there... Looks like a Model 66. The missing parts can be found on eBay. I used to own a 1920's era Singer 66, it was my first machine for sewing nylon gear. It was a good machine for what it is, and I was far and away sewing much thicker stuff than it was designed to do, but it did it very well (with my handwheel help a few times).

BTW, I have a lot of repair and adjustment manuals for the old Singers in digital format. Send me a message with your email if you need them. I will email you what I have...

One of the coolest things I found, and bought, a few years ago were two military coleman lanterns in a wooden box. In the box were the two lanterns, extra globes, mantles, gas tubes, etc. They looked new, never used. It was at a mil surplus garage sale of sorts, so I asked the guy how much? He said, well I don't know if they work, so give me $50 cash for the whole lot. That was a day I was glad to have some cash with me. From then forward I always try and have some cash with me. I'll get some pics when I get back home later and post.

With winter cranking on and on, I am so thankful for THIS bargain find...

It was pulled out of a business building remodel, given to Habitat Store. This is a $4000 oil boiler from Germany. It sat there for over a year with a $2500 price tag on it. I drooled every time I saw it, knowing what I had now, that rusty, smoking, cast iron pig of a boiler.... One day, about 9 months later, it was marked down to $1500. I was tempted. About 4 months later, still there, so I talked to the manager about it and showed him some parts they busted moving out of that basement, up the stairs...

I walked out BUYING it for $950 and cam back with my trailer... This was in the fall. To close to winter to embark on a major install and have my oil boiler disconnected. So it sat until that next summer...

Now it is one of my most prized possessions in our HOME... Amazing technology and efficiency!

Sorry for late response, been busy making soaps.

Looks like everyone has found some great things.

Rmplstlskn- it was only missing a screw that holds on the bobbin thing. I have taken it to a amish sewing place and they are going to clean and oil and set get it rdy to sew. They also have the leather cord for it.

Lowdown3- glad to see I am not the only one that likes old things.

Patroitic- nice find. That stuff around here is hard to find, must be becuase I am in a small town.
