we are trying to use some of our canned (#10) foods..
to test it...
and a few other reasons.
this morning..
I ate oatmeal with powdered milk we canned at a religious org. canning plant.
the oatmeal was 2009 the milk was 2010.
we used some sugar canned in 2008. canned at a friendly old farmers home.
we are using rice that was canned in the same age range, but can about empty so wife moved material
to a smaller container and date is ?
bottom line - all is good.
trying to save up for another large purchase..
we live a long way from the religious org canning plant... it is expensive to make the trek.
and they've changed the way they can.. I think that it is all done for you... the fact that it is done for you
is nice, but I liked knowing that I saw and handled the stuff that went in the can.
we've ordered from a couple of companies, including jrh... better prices for one benefit, and my way of supporting the forum
for another.
reference some of other posts about ebola, isis, and financial collapse etc... having food at the house seems to be a primary
goal that we can establish to help us over any challenge.
I just need more stock...
to test it...
