Old, seemingly outdated maps can be a boon for survival. Long forgotten buildings overgrown with vines, now-unused mine openings, streamheads, abandoned runways or roads...all have potential uses.
Good find!
This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave. ~Elmer Davis
I'd like to find a way to print some... But as a resource, very nice addition to Google Maps...

If you can get access to a Plotter printer you can print them yourself, download the zip from USGS for free and then print to the plotter. May have to tweak the print settings to get it print without wasting a bunch of paper.
If you can't do that it is far cheaper to buy them from USGS than to go to an Office supply store and print through them.
