  • Non-Hybrid Seeds - Can't I just buy the varieties I want???

I have been looking at the Non-Hybrid Seed (heirloom seeds) online stores and the ones that I have looked at want to sell me Packs, with varieties I don't eat.

Sites that sell packs that I have looked at so far:

KANGTOTO merupakan link situs slot gacor hari ini yang memberikan pengalaman bermain slot deposit 5000 atau depo 5k via dana tanpa potongan serta rtp slot live yang akurat dan terpercaya di Indonesia.

Where can I go to pick and choose what I want by the pack.

ex. I want 3 packs of Roma, 4 Packs of Bush Beans, 4 Packs of sweet corn, etc...

I don't to waste money by buying seeds I am not going to plant. I want to pick and choose what I want. Is there any place that will sell them like this?

    Thanks,
    elittle

Thanks for the great links. I just couldn't waste money on some seeds that I would never use.

          I bought seeds from: http://www.heirloomacresseeds.com/

Most of my bean seeds didn't come up however. I never tried to get a refund, so I don't know how they would've handled that. All the other seeds had great germination rates.

If your looking for individual packets Seeds of change is good also. While they are in the SW I've had good luck with seeds from them growing in the SE.

I get all mine from Burpee.com. They have a section on heirloom and you can get everything by the packet and they have a large selection. In this case, I think that having the research of a large seed company behind the product is a good thing.
What a long, strange trip it's been.....

Be sure and check your local feed and seed stores and your ACE hardware. Our local Ace carries many varieties of heirloom seed in bulk and you can get as many or as few as you want for a much cheaper price than ordering online or from a magazine. The other advantage of shopping locally is that they will carry types of seeds that do well in your local area. Heirlooms are great, but for best growth and production, the ones that are from your region will do best.

Be very careful when ordering seed from unproven companies these days. The heirloom business has grown so much in the last few years that while they carry the seed, often times the folks they use to get their seeds from, have no idea what they are doing when saving seed and you wind up with bunk seed that doesnt germinate.

I have bought from both Seeds of Change and Baker Creek had very good luck with both. Bountiful Gardens is also a great seed company for heirloom seeds.

I ordered my seeds from Baker Creek this year, and am very happy. They ship very quickly. Also, I just received their catalog in the mail yesterday and it is great. If you go to the website you can sign up for a free catalog. LOL, after reading it I want to become a full time farmer. Also, in the catalog they have information on saving seeds.

                      Hopefully this helps,
