  • Battery deal

So I posted a while back in the prayer room about my employer making me choose to move or find a different job. My new employer has a company store where they sell Rayovac Ultra Pro batteries CHEAP. Here are some pics to prove my point.

    8 pack of AAA's $1.76 -- 8 pack of AA's $1.64 -- 6 pack of D's $3.60

So following LD's advise of buy 'em cheap stack 'em deep

At these prices I have know excuse for not having batteries. They also sell 9v, I think it was a 5 pack for around $5.

When I bought those AA's I noticed a sign below the register, store items are not for bulk purchase or resale. I wonder what they consider to be a "bulk" purchase. I purchase 2 of each a couple of times and 5 packs of AA's at once and no one said a word.

Looks like a really good deal.
I tend to go with non-rechargeable AAA's like this.
My re-chargeable AAA's don't seem to hold up very long in my headsets.

Wish you the best in the new job,

I use the Tenergy brand rechargeables...I have been slowly getting the Low Self Dishcarge.

      I had a big wakeup on the Energizer D rechargeable vs the Tenergy D rechargeable....Energizer puts a AA inside a D shell. Tenergy D = 10,000 mAh Energizer = 2500 mAh

      Thats a 1:4 ratio...You will spend $19.94 on 4 energizer to = 1 Tenergy ($7.29)

      4 D-Energizer Rechargeable $19.94 -- 10,000 mAh

      4 D-Tenergy $28.76 -- 40,000 mAh

http://www.batteryjunction.com/ is where I get my rechargeables...small business owner just like the main supporter of this forum :)

        Excellent point!
Lot's of what I call cheating out there. Blatant mis-representation.
I always look at the MAH on the cells.

          Sweet deal.

Good to have rechargables also, but it's nice to have plenty of old fashioned batteries for those times when the sun hasn't been shining too good.

Exactly what I was thinking and at these prices I can buy quite a bit of power.
