this isn't as exciting as some topics.
but i'd like to hear your recommendations.. including brand names or styles and a comment of why..
and if you have had a negative experience with XXX please post it too.

    shoes.
i just finished a construction project. a friend came over to help that knew a lot more than me.
he wore CROCS.. the solid vinyl slip ons. the guy is no wimp. i finally asked him about his crocs and why he wore them. he explained he had some foot problems and they were comfortable, plus rugged he says.

    they are inexpensive.
they have a thick sole. - walking in water my feet don't get wet.
i've seen guys at campouts use them as a tent/casual shoe.

    britches..
i've worn levi jeans for years. but i've found that wranglers sure fit better, and seem to last just as long.

    your turn!!

Men don't let their friends wear crocs. Lol

I wear a lot of new balance. My hiking boots are Hi Tec
My casual shoes are flip flops or bare feet

Pants wise I wear what I can afford. I love my Craghoppers for hiking and backpacking.

I wear more cargo shorts than anything.
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

Winter jacket is usually a Columbia. They're a little pricey but they last a long time.
House/casual shoes is either barefoot or sandles.
Work shoes are Brownings...again pricey but they last.
Jeans are usually Wranglers...affordable and fit well.
      Hiking shoes are Redhead...fit well.
      Shirts...summer a T shirt of some kind...winter is jean shirt...various brands.

        socks.
i'm wearing some "omni wool" now. very thick. very warm. got them from sams. a friend gave me a gift of some REI wool socks. huge price. the omni's look the same.
sams doesn't carry them year round. we'll be buying some more as soon as they hit the shelves again.

        hat
i really like the camo boonie that a military associate got for me. big brim.
and it comes in very specific sizes.... most hats don't fit me. i need to find out if ranger joes, etc. sell them. if so, i'll be picking up a couple of add'l.

Think I just threw up in mouth a little

I dont wear crocs or anything like it. The only time for water shoes is on the water period. You aint serious about self defense or in this part of the country with "preparedness at all times" wearing open toed mandles, filpiefloppies or any other creation in public. I like cargos, 5-11s etc and LApolicegear has a good cheap selection of them. Shoes I leave to the individuals choices because i went with the "you must wear" for 20+ years in the green machine with stuff that doesnt work, fit right or is unpractical for real world outside of the RIMF garrison stuff and my feet, knees and back suffered greatly for it. I love merino wool socks

I second columbia shirts and jackets. We have an outlet close by and they have good deals everyonce in a while.

I wear a fleece zip up just about daily.

My son has a bad A columbia jacket that we got 70% off. He would wear it to sleep if he could.

They make some good quality stuff.

Boots. Several brands I have worn/will wear: Bates .mil style, Belleville .mil style, Vasque (love 'em...had a set for 4 years that would have kept trooping on until the dog decided to get a hold of them), and Merrill. I have a set of Columbia shoe boots that are okay

Shoes/Flippie floopies. New Balance is pretty much my first choice. After that, Asics if I can't get the NB. Sandals are strictly Teva.

Socks. Swear by Fox River, pretty much any type. Their .mil socks are awesome and their wool hiking socks are first rate (and made in the USA). Bridgedale is another brand I like as well.

Pants. I tend to go with the 5.11 for my more "dressy" cargo pants, LA Police Gear for my "don't give a darn" daily wear or blue jeans. No particular brand.

Upper wear. I have the ultimate class and tend to wear items with the University of Tennessee Volunteers logo on them. It says "I'm formal, but I'm here to party." Otherwise you'll find me in a bargain bin polo or Henley.

Jacket: I'm not particular to one brand, but have used Columbia, Jack Wolfskin (love 'em, but can't get it here in the States), 5.11, Carhart and Propper. Also have a Condor Outdoor jacket with my bug out gear I'm still evaluating. The jury is still out on that. Works okay, but not sure of the waterproofing yet.

Headgear. UT logo hats, my Larue Tactical range/bug out hat, .mil issue fleece beanie, Jack Wolfskin boonie type or whatever free hat LA Police Gear tossed in with the order.

One thing I've learned about jackets and boots is the buy once, cry once mentality. Spend the extra money up front for a good jacket or pair of boots.

I also tend to wear clothing until it self destructs on my body. And after that? Gets cut up into cleaning rags.

Wow, I wish my team had that kind of class. My team isn't great and I'm afraid to be seen in public wearing those colors or logos. I mean nobody wants to be seen with an ugly dog on their shirt.

I envy you for having a great team with a great color!
