How bad does this damn heat effect my buckets?

Moved to my new AO over the weekend and for the time being my LTS has to sit in the garage. Will that harm the food at all? Everything is mylar'd up in buckets but I have some stuff that is just packaged in some boxes.
Also, I have a couple big bags of rice (from Super H mart, if you have one its a nice place to go) and I put them in the fridge I have in the garage. Will that harm it?

I am going to do a thread on moving preps when I get a chance. This place is a madhouse. I learned some very valuable lessons on this one.

This is the first time I have actually transported preps other than my camping/survival gear pre "prepping with LTS food".

    Thanks

I would think maybe humidity might affect the stuff you have in boxes?? Also, if you take the rice out of the fridge, on a hot humid day, might get some condensation on it... (I use to have a job where I walked in and out of freezers all day... My glasses always fogged up with condensation when I'd walk out and hit that warm air..)

I thought about that. But when I pull the rice out, if I even do, it will be going into air conditioning. I know someone here knows the answer to that one as well. Its only 2 15lb bags so if it ruins, I am not going to call NatGeo and tell them not to come..... :)

At my job I have to wear safety glasses if I go into the shop. Coming from 70 degree A/C into 100 degree heat my goggles fog up instantly. I need some of those with the lil windshield wipers on em.... lol

        i don't know the answer.
but i moved last year during the hottest part of the summer.
my food preps had been in a/c.. moving took a couple of weeks.
it's my opinion that my normally 75 and below food spent various times at
        100 degrees..
        it didn't help it.
i probably lost 5 % of shelf life..
it is now again inside masonry a/c

on another issue i had friends that said they were coming to help move.
and then they didn't show. "well, rr, you know it sure is hot."
so what to do.. about getting labor to help with the move.
that was a problem. i was hiring friends of friends. paying 10-12/hour
providing lots of liquids and food.
how do you keep your preparedness items private?
        that was a problem.
        just something to consider.

btw, we had 3 guys get in bad shape from dehydration.

        congrats on the move.

I always prepped for 12 people in the extended family. Why? Because they wouldn't prepare for themselves.

12 people X a "reasonable" amount of food/period of time, made it pretty much impossible to keep ALL of the food in a climate controlled environment all the time.

26 years I've stored food in outside metal buildings, garages, etc. in Florida and Georgia (very hot, very humid). The only losses I've had were to IMPROPER PACKING.

High heat is NOT the albatross some have made it out to be. I don't give a damn what they have read in "charts" etc. I've SEEN AND EXPERIENCED real world results. It's not speculation from some clown that maybe has six months of food he has had for a couple years and regurgitates crap he's read from others while acting as an authority figure. Real world LONG TERM experience is hard to argue with.

Some folks have reailzed- "hey, Rob is telling us our food will store LONGER than most people say it will and he sells long term food. Everyone else that sells long term food tells us it won't store that long so that we BUY MORE of it before we need it." I.e, Rob doesn't BS you about longevity of food to make a sale to you as others do. :)

In other words, I have no agenda or reason to tell you that your food will store longer than you probably think or were lead to believe that it will. Make sense?

This is the video that made the "chart commandos" wet themselves- can't argue with RESULTS.
