    I had heard about stuffing lint into a TP roll from another website that got me looking into wilderness survival which eventually led me to being a Survivalist.

      Fabric - can be used to make/repair clothing, as bandages, filter material, etc.
      tools - from yard sales pr even from wally world
      candy - cheap as heck (especially after halloween) and stores forever (hard candies, not milky way bars!!)

        First aid supplies, ace bandages,
        Honey-I buy the individual condiment size packets, I filled a stainless steel water bottle with them, tasty and can be put on a wound if need be(or so I've heard).

          Tarheel, I have been picking up condiments from fast food places for Blue Star Mothers. That would be an inexpensive way to get your honey.

          Come to think of it, I can do that for myself. Thanks for the idea.

            You might search out someone who makes honey locally. It's better to buy honey made in your area because it helps treat allergies, etc....

                    Where I live I've talked to many over the years who swear that either taking a spoonful or using in food daily helps their allergies. Some Drs. don't believe it but then they have prescriptions to sell to make money. Jumbo's grocery store (near where I live) buys various items from locals for resale. Produce, eggs, etc...and honey. They carry honey from a few local growers in this area.

                    Here's a brief explanation of how it works (ps-Good for pimples too! Just put a dot of it on the pimple and walla! It dries up. Honey is acidic so it dries it out).

                        Not only that, I have found that local honey is superior to the store bought mass-produced stuff in every way! Did you know they can add sugar water to the honey and still call it pure honey?

                          Small rechargeable batteries. I purchased a solar charger and spent the extra money on the good rechargeable batteries. AA & AAA. Will need these for our handheld radios and flashlights. I really don't like the solar lights, they are not as bright.

                            Read that recently MustangGal. I think they're required to put that on the label so read carefully!

                                I did not see this on the list but plastic clear painter tarps. Many uses from rain coats to greenhouse materials. 8x10 squares at the dollar tree are a dollar.
