Many when you think you're stocking everything just read these posts and you find more you don't think about! LOL
Don't forget comfort items too like shave cream, hand/body lotion, cologne/perfume, extra sheets, extra blankets, extra pillows, fiction books, games, etc...These, and more, can be used for comfort or barter.

I am also a hoarder of hotel shampoo, soaps, and lotions. I have a bucket packed to the brim. I have seen lots of this stuff for cheap on amazonian and ebay.

I am going to buy a whole case of toothbrushes next.

Those items will be like Palladium in the PAW

i buy watch caps & gloves when they go on spring sales. Often 50 cents to $1 each and save for the upcoming cold months the next year. I get as many as I can lay my hands on, they pack small yet are lifesavers...

Good idea. I picked up some thermal underwear for DH and the Man Cub - Wal-Mart was clearancing them out. I think they were $2 each for tops and bottoms for DH and $3 per set for the Man Cub.

Fingernail/ toenail clippers. OK, some bite their nails and the macho type use a knife to trim.

Eyeglass repair kit. Those little screws are nothing until you lose one, then they appear to be everything.

I saw sewing needle earlier. How about some various threads to go with it. You may not need to make new clothes, but fixing those jeans that show the unmentionables would be nice.

Fast food condiment packs. Salt, pepper, ketchup, mayo, mustard, hot sauces can be had for free during your next toxic-burger/burrito run.

Cheap razors. Can be had by the bunches at the local dollar store. Useful in removing the brillo pad on face (and legs, ladies). Also useful in razing tiny livestock areas (lice).

Flints and wicks for your favorite Zippo (or knock-off).

i like them too but i cant carry them in my bags. i'm too rough and they would break. I have a tendacy to lay/lean on my bag when i rest so these types of things don't hold up well.

Maybe you could tuck it into one of your pieces of clothing to protect it Matt. I've got those "lighting" sticks for fuel in my BOBs but does anyone carry tinder that's any lighter?
