Gave my nephews some about 10 years ago that were already 10 years old. He ate them.
I think they will keep, but their nutritional value is one above white bread.
Definitely not a main stay type item, that's for sure.Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"
Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

yip 3 years here. They were my 1st " bulk" prep due to the low cost. They make for great shortterm "filler" imho, again due to cost. But nothing for LTS, to much work to unpackage etc , vs normal noodles.Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

I love me some ramens. I dont even cook em, just pour the sauce on, crunch it up and shake the bag. Like eating chips.
I have a ton of these, could be used a barter or charity. You can put them in salad tooYou know what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

I have a few cases of them, and they're about two years old now, but still tasty. We still eat them.
As for things to go with them.......
Canned chicken
Canned Veggies of all sorts
Serve them with stir fry on top or helpings of the canned La Choy Beef or Chicken Chow Mein
They are pasta noodles, so anything that you serve or mix with pasta will taste good. I haven't tried it, but now that I think about it... meat balls and spaghetti sauce come to mind. Hmmmm...you know, I think that just might be pretty darn good, and I could always save the flavor pack for a clear broth soup. Too bad I just ate a little while ago, or I might have tried it tonight. Looks like my test kitchen will be getting a new recipe this weekend. :D"It has been said that preparedness and being prepared promotes fear. This isn't true.......being UNPREPARED is what promotes fear"

There ain't nothing better , on a cold weather camping trip, especially after a few days of low flavor menu items. I like to save one pack for when all the other tasty items are gone , and BOOM look what I found, sorry guys.Carry as little as possible , to obtain as much as needed.

Reading all the praise for Ramen makes me wonder if anyone is aware that the flavor packet is loaded with MSG, and that that is a toxin which is no help for our health. When products are labeled "no msg added" they are playing another type of trick, because most of them will contain some form of hydrolyzed vegatable protein or yeast extract which does contain msg as a component. One of the effects of msg is to increase hunger and help them win that bet "Bet you can't eat just one."
Personally, I want to be as healthy as I can, and try to avoid that stuff.
This article from Dr. Mercola posted today addresses this issue

I keep tons of the Ramen Noodles because they are cheap and easily stored. I figure if the SHTF, we just need to be stocked up on everything that we can store. Ramen noodles can be used without the packet and by adding in your own spices and some meat. Also, as someone stated, they could be used for barter as well.
