Gear Reveiw on Britta water bottle/filter

I just purchased a Britta water bottle with built in filter, says it will do approx. 300 16 0z bottles, $8.99 at my local walmart, good price i thought, if anyone has used one of these before , id like to hear your thoughts, i bought this for my BOB as a back up to my sweet-water filter, they sell 2 packs of replacement filters for like 8 dollars i think, might have to test this critter where i work, our water really sucks and i always smells like wet dog, lol, i post a review after i use it for awhile.

unless i'm mistaken those filters do not filter bad water. They are made to make water taste better. It should say down to .05 microns or less and say its for crypto, girdina etc. walmart also sells "straws" in the camping isle that arent good for anything too. doubloe check and let me know before you test it

Matt what would be a good route to go with water filters? We want something that takes as much out as possible.

Also I see a myriad of choices for water purification pills on Amazon. Is one better than the other?

for the filters, you cant go wrong

I use Aquamire tablets and drops I get from from http://www.backwoods.com/stores-and-events.html
along with the Bota of Boulder water filter bottle because Academy sells them and the filters and it's convieneant. They can be ordered/purchased form other places as well.

As with anything try it so you know what it tatse like etc.
