Costco item may be of interest

I must say, after putting down an animal and going through the processes, I have a hard time eating a burger or steak for a couple of days, but the skill and stores are worth the effort! I LOVE Grassfed-grain finished BEEF! I also know where it came from and what is in it!!! Keeping with topic - Costco and Sams do have some good prep stuff. I think they are good for emer and extras but prepping from your own land or area is still the best!!

I still like my steak and hamburger, I'm just not buying it from the grocery store pre-ground and no more hamburgers at restaurants. I bet we see a rash of restaurants offering no pink slime burgers before long and then charging us more for it ;)

@MB - thanks for the info...I will have to check them out when it finally gets up and running. We have almost stopped buying meat from any grocery store, we get a 1/2 steer from a local farmer. After seeing the Pink Slime video from Jamie Oliver I am glad too. You will either make them grind hamburger fresh or buy from a butcher shop or buy from farmer and have it butchered or raise your own and butcher yourself.

Prices are pretty much the same. Costco has a much better selection. Their store brands are a much better quality. Meat is excellent, much better than Sam's. Their non-edible products are dido. Well known brands, high quality and a good selection. No questions asked return polity. I order an emergency bucket that had all kinds of emergency stuff from a reflective mirror to a compass, to a wind up radio. The bucket was missing the multi-tool. I emailed them and a week later the mailed me two multi-tools to compensate me. Excellent.

I've ordered a whole lot of freeze dried food from them, along with other stuff. Shipping is always free, although probably included in the price. I ordered my mother's bed from them, it was shipped and set up as part of the price. Great service. I miss Costco, but use Sam's now. I recently order some long term storage food from Sam's but I paid for the shipping.

Costco has great preps. I've ordered many items from them. I only have a Sam's where I live now, and I sure do miss Costco.

We are getting a costco in the coming year or so, construction is just getting slowly started. Can you give me some examples of what Costco has vs Sams? We currently do a monthly trip to Sams so I am very familiar with them.

I ordered a similar product from Costco's a while back and while I haven't opened it, it's nice to know I have it. Costco has great preps. I've ordered many items from them. I only have a Sam's where I live now, and I sure do miss Costco.
