  • Question about pool water

Was just closing the pool for the winter and got to thinking i have 38,000 gallons of water in it. If there is some way to filter it to make drinking water that would solve alot of problems. My concerns are all the chemicals in it. Anyone have any answers?
    Thanks

The filters get most of some of the chemicals LOL. This is according to their own data that you can look up on the net. I have allowed it to dechlorinate (aka turn green) and then filtered it and drank it with no issues. I minimize the amount of chemicals I use and with the evaporation rate of 3-4 inches a week it wasnt hard to keep fresher water in it this last summer.

The chemcilas are often the same ones yiou would use to purify water any way, if a little too much. Over time it outgasses.

There are several non chlorine type chemicals for pools. I think some of them are safer to drink long term.
