Does anyone store sunscreen? I was thinking about it last night and a bad sunburn PAW could be terrible.

Do you store OTC stuff or do you know how to make your own?

Oh good thinking...my daughter is a red head and with her very fair skin she would look like her hair in a very short time.

Being a former and still sometimes lifeguard.... I can tell you that sunscreen does go bad within a year to year and a half. In fact, if it has gone bad and you put it on yourself, it is like adding tanning oil to your skin and you will get burned worse than you will without putting it on.

Usually zinc oxide doesn't go bad from what I remember, but it is pretty obnoxious looking.

ahem...sun block? yes, I do use it, but for those times when I don't want chems on my skin I rely on the old ways: loosely fitted, long sleeved white shirts, hats with big brims, white cotton gloves. Those western pioneers wore those things for a reason, and they still work. Yep, folks think Im eccentrice, but they all get bad sunburns so it can go to tan (shudder). Mens long-sleeve white shirts are cheapest, ladies, and you can get them nice and roomy. If you want a more fem look, you can always embroider or tie dye....but then you lose some sun reflectiveness.
Sunbonnets work, but tend to give you tunnel vision, which may not be what you want....a straw hat works best for me, with 'stampede' straps (or idiot ties, depending on who you talk to).

Try this, Rit Sun Guard. I would think it would store.
