What BOOKS, if any, would you put in your BOB? On your Smartphone?

Curious what and how many BOOKS everyone will/has put into their BOB's?

Since BOB's need to sustain life for undefined periods of time, they can fill up and get heavy FAST. Books are bulky & heavy... What is your MUST HAVE, my survival will benefit from them list?

What books/publications are on your Smartphone? I know many good books & guides are now on smartphones, so that too must be taken into consideration, if you included battery charge equipment... List 'em...

Guess it would be "Medicine for the Outdoors" by Paul S. Auerbach,M.D. (we keep the household FAK in a daypack and its always in there) and for the lack of anything better I would grab 98.6 by Cody Lundin.

Bible, and a blank notebook, rite in the rain model 946 or 946T depending on what color I have handy.
I usually also have a technical book or two about radios, like schematics of a radio I'm building, or any numerous antenna books I have. I'm always looking for new antenna ideas, and don't want to be stuck in the PAW without coms!

This more than anything since I have a hard time remembering the differences in what you can eat and what makes you itch uncontrollably.

Boy Scout Handbook 9th edition would be a good addition.

The Field Guide of Wilderness & Rescue Medicine. It is a small spiral bound field guide for wilderness first reponders printed on weather proof paper. Secondly is Collins Gem mini copy of The S.A.S. Survival Guide.

Amen, besides that you're better storing it all upstairs unless it's something new. The only exception I might make is edible plants, too many look alike and if you're uncertain better to know than starve.

Sometimes the information you carry is not for you alone but for your family and the future. That's why my books and guides are on a kindle, unless you are using it quite a bit a charge will last for upto 45 days. Just something else to consider.
