How many of us are doing a "Post Down Grade Prep Run"? The DW and I just finished a rotation and inventory on our most used items (read food here).We also stopped by a local "survival store"for the first time to check them out, my gosh the prices!! The two guys minding the store could not even play the part of the prepared prepper with their penny loafer shoes,loud colored knit shirts and the conversations between themselves over the afternoons golf game! It just did not impress me...

yup......went today and obtained 500 more rounds of 9mm.......few more pounds of silver bars/ eagles.....put up 15 pints of the finest tasting peach preserves you could hope for....and even took momma out to the range to practice her impersonation of Annie Oakley.....oh....and also tried out my new Global Solar oven for the first time.......productive day I would say...... -

I have not used it to cook actual food yet. The instructions suggest you "cook" up a bowl with water and dishsoap so that it steams the inside of the oven and then you wipe out the oven....this gets rid of the plastic smell and keeps your food from tasting like plastic....The unit construction is top notch....After about 20 minutes in the sun, the temperature held at 350-400 degrees the whole time. I choose the global solar oven because its one of the few units that will produce temps that will allow you to bake bread.....Would highly recommend this unit....Originally posted by ssonb View PostComment
