  • Mylar Bag and o2 absorber questions for yall

I am finally purchasing my first installment....is this a good buy?

I have to go cheap because of my $$ situation but I want good quality too.

I am going with 1 gallon because I think it will work better for me.

Is the 3.5 mil and the 300cc a good start just for rice and beans?

Thoughts and comments would be appreciated!

Good price but you're getting what you pay for. 3.5 mils is sort of thin. 4.5 and up is MUCH better.
I'm with "elittle" with the NO Amazon if at all possible. Will spend more at other places if I have to.

        Whats the deal with Amazon?

And I was figuring that 3.5 was thin from using plastic for garden covers....any suggestions for a good place to get 1 gallons and o2's for less than $25?

Amazon is VERY ANTI-GUN!!!! If you know any Mormons that will get you stuff from their store in ATL or wherever their store is then that is the best deal. Bags are really cheap and even better then mil-spec stuff. The O2s are cheaper also. In fact most of the stuff in their store is really a good price. I have a friend who has gotten me some stuff when they go. I always give them about 10% over costs for their troubles and a big thank you also.

              WiseOwl,
It's a LDS/Mormon supply house or "store" as it's called. I can't get in alone, have to go with a church member or have one purchase items for you/me. They have bulk items, wheat, etc and you can buy 25 # bag of wheat or can it up in #10 cans, etc. Price is different for bulk vs cans of course. I'd love to go one time to see the operation but our local person is on a different schedule and I've missed going. About where is Boondocks? Just a close location is good enough.

cool....I don't know any mormons, so the net will have to send me my goodies....

Trying to find a good source but everyone has such difference in price. I guess ole Amazonion may have to do just because of the price and if I have to double bags up I will.....but the budget has to be in effect.....I only have 2 buckets to fill at this time

Lets just see, OPSEC of course...North of Macon, South of Atlanta, West of Milledgeville, East of LaGrange.......:)

The $25 limit would depend on how many you're looking for, but I can say that I bought bags and absorbers from mylarbagsdirect.com and I was happy with them. The bags I got are 4.5 mil and they roll them instead of folding them for shipping. The 1 gal bags are .34 each.

That's a good price... That same seller was also on E-bay when I bought that same deal from him a few months ago - it was around $25 then.

I don't buy from amazon because they were selling the "How to be a pedophile" manifesto. I have 2 children under the age of 3....they are too stupid to get my business and it took them too long to remove it from their store and they acted like nothing happened.

There is a store in Tucker, GA. Again, you have to be taken in by a church member....I called and checked.
